BESPOKE MARQUEES FOR THE MOST UNIQUE FESTIVALS & EVENTS IN THE UK

At Roaming Tent Co we design and manufacture all of our marquees ourselves – right here in the North East.

We use breathable, weatherproof cotton canvas made in Scotland, and we handcraft our poles using traditional techniques and timber harvested from local, sustainably managed woodlands.

Our tents are based on traditional designs from around the world to which we add our own twist, creating beautiful, original structures for the most unique festivals and events in the UK.

VETERANS OF THE UK FESTIVAL CIRCUIT

We have been providing our original marquees to some of the biggest festivals in the UK since 2012. From the point of enquiry, through the booking process and during installation and de-rig on site, our knowledge and experience will help make the organisation and running of your event seamless. We provide all the necessary RAMS, insurance certificates, weather management plans and engineer’s reports required, and can provide an on-site standby crew during the hire period, on request.

For smaller and emerging festivals or events, we’re happy to share our industry knowledge to help make your event a success.

BIG TOP TENTS

Based on the classic circus tent design, our Big Tops feature high peaked roofs which create a lofty, airy festival venue.

Our Festival Big Tops range includes three sizes, from 153-387m². They are also available in two different colourways.

  • Seated capacity: 70-300+ people

  • Standing Capacity: 300-775 people (max)

  • Inside Area: 153-387m²

SAND BERBER TENT

Berber Tents were where RTC started, this design is now in its seventh iteration. Based on the traditional tent of the indigenous people of Northern Africa, we have adapted the Berber tent design whilst retaining this rich heritage to create an extremely characterful marquee like no other.

  • Seating capacity: 100-190 people

  • Standing Capacity: 390 people (max)

  • Inside Area: 195m²

BELL TENTS

A range of elegant, round festival tents available in three sizes and two different colourways. The 9.75m versions are ideal for more intimate spaces for workshops, talks, yoga or green rooms. The 12m and 15m Bells are well suited for small-medium sized venues

  • Seated capacity: Up to 150 people

  • Standing Capacity: Up to 354 people (max)

  • Inside Area: 75-177m²

cANOPIES

Our smallest tents are ideal as break-out spaces or seating areas for eating. They provide that perfect indoor/outdoor space and work well either on their own or as a cluster of canopies.

  • Seating capacity: Up to 50 people

  • Standing Capacity: Up to 96 people (max)

  • Inside Area: 48m²
